I had at least 5 between finding out I was pregnant and 18 weeks. Starting at 18 weeks I have an ultrasound every 4 weeks.. and I will start weekly monitoring probably by week 30. It's a lot, really lucky my insurance has been so good. I am high risk though for multiple reasons.

I'll be 11 wks Saturday and I've had 2 so far and have another one Saturday. But the only reason I believe I've had so many this early is because I just had a miscarriage in November and now that I'm pregnant with twins I'm considered high risk.

My Dr said he would like to do ultrasounds at all of my appts. But I doubt he will since he said he'd see me 10 times before I'm due.

It depends on the doctor. Some will do one everytime you go in and sometimes you only get one around 17 weeks to get the measurements. If everything is going well one is about all but again it depends on the doctor. I'm 22 weeks today and I've only had one US so far...
