yeast infection

sorry guys if tmi. i got a yeast infection from a antibiotic just before i fell pregnant and fell pregnant while treating it with canestan 7 day cream. it didnt go away and it keeps getting worse. i have used the 7 day cream about 5 times now with no help only relief from the itching and painful sex for about 2 days after i finished the treatment. i have had it my entire pregnancy and im 18 weeks now. i have tried everything :( and apparently they cant give me anything other then the canestan 7 day cream which isnt working :( i wash my underwear in hot water with little to no soap and dry in direct sunlight and unless i need to i wear no underwear to let it air out. any other tips ? im so over the painful sex, icky discharge and itching :(

Most pharmacist have those little tablets you can insert into your vagina now, I've found they help heaps.

Well yes I think you could get monistat at the pharmacy.. just go there and ask.. doctor don't have to proscribe it for you.

Maybe you should avoid having sex until you cure your infection, that would help keep your vaginal clean...I had one too and I stopped having sex until I finish the cream treatment and I been fine since.

Make sure you buy yogurt with live cultures if you are going to do it. When I had a yeast infection Epsom salt baths helped with the burning and itching also

The same thing use to happen to me.. The itching was irritating.. so the other day I bought monistat which is safe to use while pregnant... I got the 3 day insert and it came with an additional external cream... it gave me some relief.. I hope it helps you as well.

theyve done vaginal swabs and always just said a yeast infection, i think ill go back to the doctor for another swab though. im not sure why they wont give me anything else, when i asked the chemist for something else or a different brand they said i cant while im pregnant :( i didnt know not to have sex on it or a week after was never told any of that by doctors, chemist or midwives.. ill definately ask about that one now. ive heard about yogurt too but im a little hesitant to put it down there but i think im gunna have to try it, i eat yogurt too to see if that helps but nothing :(

I know this sounds gross but my grandma just told me to say put some plain yogurt in your vagina and on the lips and let it soak for about 20 mins. She also said to eat yogurt too. Not the same one as your vagina btw.
