I am going to be 32 in may and I am 18 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. Im thinking about getting my tubes tied or burned, but im scared. Is anyone else thinking of doing this? What is your opinion

I totally agreed with Geekmom! We carry babies for 9 months, then if you nurse they are attached to your breast for the next year give or take. Let him have a little discomfort for a day or two!  Way less invasive and i understand having tubes tied can alter your menstrual cycle like more cramps or heavier flow. I am not risking that!

Im 34 and 30weeks pregnant with my 5th child. It is only my fiances 2nd we have a boy and this one is a girl. I was going to get my tubes tied but im am also having second thoughts. I am leaning towards getting the mirena again i had it after my 3rd baby for five years and no side affects. That will give me time to decide for sure.

I'm 31, and 29 weeks with my 4th, we are done after this. We discussed him having a v but we are looking at a 95% chance of a csection this time due to a fibroid...if they are already in there then might as well get it all done at once. I already have to recover from the csection anyway so to me what's the difference. Even if we deliver normally at this pint they might as well just do it while I'm in the hospital, regardless I need to recover and he's taking 4 weeks off cause of the other three kiddos. 4 is plenty for us so it's the right time.

My husband had a vasectomy when i was like 4 months prego.  This was an unplanned pregnancy and we actually had it booked prior to finding out we were prego.  It took him 2 days to recover. Pretty easy on him. Not sure what the recover is like for getting tubes tied.

My husband is getting a vasectomy. Less invasive, shorter recovery time, less physical risk, fewer hormonal side effects. Plus it's his turn. Reproductive responsibility has been on my shoulders for years. And if we change our minds (we won't, but if we did) a reversal is more likely to be successful and less expensive as well.

I definitely am! 8 hours after our baby girl is here I'm going and having my tubal done. My doc keeps asking me if I'm sure, and that I need to think of the what ifs, but honestly 3 kids is going to be a rough one for us and I'm pretty head strong on having it done! My husband would go in for the big v but considering I'll have to already be in the hospital, why not!

Will they let you get tubes tied after one baby?  I really don't want anymore after this and all the birth control options I always have horrible side effects. I wanted my tubes tied before and they wouldn't let me because I didn't have any which was stupid its my body. My birth control failed and now I'm pregnant so next time I want something more permanent so there are no more accidents.

I wanted my tubes tied, but I'm delivering at a Catholic hospital, so any form of birth control is a no go with them. I was going to schedule mines shortly after birth at another hospital, but my husband said he'll take one for the team and get a vasectomy. Regardless, we're both happy with our family and this last baby is our big finale.

My mom had a Csection with her last pregnancy & they went ahead with tying her tubes, since they were already in there. It isn't, & never was, an issue for her. She was 41yro at the time, & was 9yrs ago, if that makes a difference.
