Zoloft cutting a 50mg. to make a 25mg.?

can i cut a zoloft 50mg. in half in order to get 25mg?  i dont feel comfortable starting at 50mg.

That's what I did when I was on Zoloft.  It turned out to be a perfectly good dose.  It worked as intended and I felt good about not taking any more than necessary.
