No yolk sac, but everything else fine?
I went in to the ER the other night due to stomach pain. They tested me, did an u/s & everything was fine. The babies heartbeat was at 171, fetal pole was there & the tech said everything looks good. But, when I got hm & read my discharge papers, it said no yolk sac detected. Should I be worried? Im 9wks today.
That's good :) pregnancy can be scary, especially in the first trimester. Never be afraid to call your doc or feel silly, I'm an OB nurse and we get lots of calls and are always happy to take care of the issue, no matter how big or small :)
Thank you. I went ahead and saw him yesterday. He has ordered my u/s results & says if anything he would def give me call. I feel better about it. Thx for responding!
It could be something as simple as they just didn't see the yolk sac, but it's definitely something that you need to speak with your OB about for clarification. Since there was a heartbeat and fetal pole you shouldn't worry yourself too much about it, just call and let your OB know you're concerned.
