I sooo have that problem too and it is embarassing! Thank goodness we have 2 bathrooms:) I asked my DR and he said nothing to worry about.
the vitamins can defintely change the color (b vitamines make it very yellow) and others can change the smell.
have it checked just in case, but likely not a UTI without other symptoms.
you could try changing your vitamin brand to see if that helps the smell....
The darker color can be from the prenatal vitamins as they are pretty strong and vitamins always make my pee yellow-er.
I noticed mine smelling bad for about a week a while ago. I was really worried about it and went to the ER because I was having some pelvic pain and thought it was a UTI. It wasn't. They said my pee was "beautiful", and so did the doctor at my last appt. It seems to have gone away, so I am thinking it was something I ate.
If you eat a lot of asparagus it will smell funny, that's for sure. Maybe that applies to other things?
I haven't noticed mine smelling, but since the beginning of this pregnancy I have noticed that it is darker. It pretty much stays yellow the whole time. I give a urine sample at all of my appt's so surely they would catch it if it's a uti, right? They caught another yeast infection I had with my urine sample. lol.
I think it's pretty common to have smelly pee when you're pregnant. My aunt had smelly pee and nothing was ever wrong. It may just be the extra hormones we have or it could be a uti.
