I got not so good info about my ultrasound at the ER

I had an ultrasound on Thursday at the ER, the ultrasound tech said everything looked great with one baby with a heartbeat of 143bpm.
Two days later I got a call the radiologist read the ultrasound and says two negative things about my ultrasound,
1.) The yolk sac measures about 5.5mm, which is somewhat bigger than typically seen at this stage.
2.) There are also some low level echoes within the yolk sac, which could be a worrisome finding. ( I asked the ER doctor what that meant when she called and she said they don't know, just means something was seen inside the yolk sac could be something or nothing.

So they say to have a repeat ultrasound in 2-3 weeks to check the yolk sac.

So the good news is that there is a baby with a strong heartbeat at 6w5d, My ob appt is Wednesday so I should get another ultrasound and will see what the obgyn has to say about their findings.

Nothing is really  certain and calculated 100% with pregnancy and doctors do not know everything. Baby's heart is beating and that is a good sign. Try not to stress.

i had an u/s done about 5 weeks in the ER and they reported i had too much fluid and would most likely miscarry....i was devastated....however 2 weeks later got another u/s and guess what...baby with a strong heartbeat and fluid level was perfect...im now almost 19 weeks....hang in there....talk to your ob about it and see what they say

Try not to worry. Everything will probably be ok.

I'll be praying for you and little one. I have heard somewhere that as long as the sac was under 6mm it wasn't a cause for concern, not sure if its true or not, but I picked it up somewhere!!
