Is everyone still here and alive???

Just thought i would check in on everyone and see how were doing. This forum is very quite and I would like to change that. Does anyone have any idea on how to speed things up over here? As for myself I had my repeat ultrasound yesterday and baby looked great. I measured 10w2d and not 9w6d like i should of been with hr of 163. My next doctor appointment is june 2nd which is when i will get all the information for my 12 week scan and genetic counselor. Anyone else have any updates?

All is well here.  So you all bring up a good question.  My doctore wants me to do a scan and the down syndrome testing at 12 weeks, she wants me to come in to see her next week to talk about my 12 week appt of which is when they want to do this.  My question is....Is this normal?  I don't remember my first OBGYN sitting me down and going over testing like it was a big deal.  Now it seems like a bigger deal then last time.  I am 31, does it have to do w/ my age or is this normail procedure for most Dr.'s to sit down and talk about the testing?  It makes me feel like she thinks I am high risk although there is no one in either family with these genetic problems.  Makes me think she seen something on 8 week scan.  Maybe I am just freaking out.  Can you help answer?

I have heard of anterior placenta but not retroverted. I would be sure to call your doctor and ask if i were you. I know what you mean about seeing baby move, it is the greatest feeling ever! Also results of nt scan should be in with in the week.

tryingfor1sttime815- Not all doctors require or ask if you would like to do the 12 nt scan. I know in older women, believe age 35+, are at higher risk. It is checking for signs of down syndrome in the baby. They should also do a blood test with the ultrasound. With my first two pregnancy it was offered but my insurance at the time did not cover it, so i opted to not have it done. Im sure your 8 week scan was fine and you have nothing to worry about! I look at it as being able to see you lil one again.
