ya since the baby will not be passing through your vagina where the bacteria is located there is no need for the antibiotics... so dont worry about it many people have it
It is definately ok to have strep b. I had it with my first child. About an hour out from having him they gave me antibiotics in my hand and it was VERY sore because my midwife put it in the wrong place and then had to put it in again. I think its funny I can handle labour without any contractions but I can't handle a needle.
With my daughter I didn't have it which was great but it really is nothing to worry about :)
yea, but the dr said that he won't administer anti biotics unless i was delivering vaginally ,,,but im having a c section.. so i wont need the meds. but its ok right? no threat or major infection to me right or baby?
Don't worry about it... I had it with my first but not my second and I will get my test result for this one on Wednesday... The only thing that ***** about it is the IV
yes, thats pretty much how he explained it in a nut shell.. just wanted to make sure from other mom's to be tho lol
from what i have understood, the only reason they give you the antibiotics is to prevent the baby from getting it because even though it does nothing to adults, it can be harmful for babies... so i guess he wont give it to you because its really not causing you any harm...
