25 weeks with really bad cold (i think its just a cold) and now spotting

I started to get what I think is just a bad cold on friday, so ive just been tryin to take it easy and drink lots of fluids but its seems to be getting worse.  Yesterday it moved from just feeling icky and stuffy to my chest hurting and a bad cough (figures, at my worst on  the weekend so no doc office open) Last night I noticed some light pink spotting, but kinda shrugged it off because i had been coughing so much.  Its back again this morning though and has me a bit worried.  Im just sitting here waiting for someone to get to my work so I can call in (supposed to start at 6) Im sure there going to be thrilled with me and then i get to wait for the doc office to open at 9 : (  In the mean time though I was wondering if anyone knew if excessice coughing can cause spotting?

I am glad to here that things are okay!  The spotting is scary, did they indicate what may have caused that?  Let us know how you are doing tomorrow!

My doc office was taking to long to call me back so I ended up going into my family doctor this afternoon.  I have a respatory(sp) infection not a cold, so i guess its good I went.  The spotting had stopped and my cervix is still closed so I just have to stay home the next few days, take it easy and go in to my obs office asap is the spotting comes back because there concerened about my plecenta.

I haven't heard nor read of severe coughing causing spotting.  I would not sit around waiting..can you call into an answering service at your doctor's office or head over to the ER?
