What have you bought for baby, if anything yet?

This baby will be my third (I have 2 sons) and even though I've been through this before, it's always different! After my last m/c I got very upset and gave all of my baby clothing to GoodWill. I still have the crib, basinet, changing table, swing etc. My question is when should I start buying the little things again? I was thinking of every now and then picking up a pack of onesis, bottle nipples etc. but I don't want to buy too much too early. I don't find out the sex of the baby until Sept. 5th and I'm sure after that I'll go nuts with colors and themes, but in the meantime have any Mommys started buying anything? If so, what?

being that this will be our first baby (2nd preg) we have ALOT of stuff to get.  We already bought the crib and dresser, we ordered them early because they were on back order and didnt know how long it would take.  Turns out they came in in a few weeks so i guess we did that a little early.  Im hesitant to get anything else because of my prior mc im just terrified to get to excited at this point.  Im told myself once i made it past 12 weeks id relax and get excited but easier said then done.  Here I am a little over 17 weeks and still on edge between doc appointments.  Hopefully once i do my 20w scan and find out the sex I'll feel better, prob will go nuts buying stuff after that.

We ordered our crib and dresser since it we were told it could take 4 months to get here!  I have bought a few baby plush animals/toys/bibs.  I did just register at a few stores but I will complete those lists once we find out the sex of the baby, which we are finding out on Sept. 6.  

A great book that was recommended to me by a friend is "Baby Bargins".  This book rates cribs, high chairs, etc and tells you what was good and not so good about certain makers and it gives you the price range for each item.    I loved having this book.  You can get it from Amazon.com.

I am going to hold off until 27 weeks before I shop. However we have started clearing out the room and making storage space for baby things. I am also looking into and finalizing what we want to buy when we r ready to buy. It doesn't take too long to get stuff once u know what u need.... I am holding all my shopping until Oct. but thats just me :)

I'm waiting until 30 weeks, I have started knitting clothes and I have always kntted baby clothes so I have a good stock from the last couple of years but I just daren't buy anything until I know they can survive on the outside.

I have not bought a thing! I'm going to wait until i find out the sex on August 15. I have a 2 year old daughter so if it's a girl I'm so set. I kept everything. If it's a boy - time to shop! The only big thing i'm going to buy is a double stroller. I have the swing, glider, pack and play, I will need to get another high chair though. I'm just so busy right know with planning DD 2nd birthday which also happens to be on August 15th, working, etc. I'm not even thinking about shopping. I keep thinking i have so much time. Meanwhile i'll be running around like a loon a week before i'm due. LOL!

We have bought stuff. We arent going to find out the sex, so I think, "why not?"  I dont really understand waiting until after a certain point. Plus, this is our first baby so I feel like we have so much to get. Here is what I have bought so far:

Crib
Crib Mattress
Pack N Play (to be used for baby to sleep in our room)
Swing
Glider and Ottman
Wipes
A few packs of larger size diapers (2 and 3)
A couple of crib sheets
pacifiers
Mylicon Drops

We registered this weekend at Babies R Us too.  We just finished painting the nursery, that way we can work slowly on the little decorating issues.  
I want to do a lot of it now, because I dont want to be trying to buy stuff at the last minute, in the dead of winter, while Im big fat and uncomfortable, and fighting Christmas shopping crowds.  
All that said, I am a little overly anxious with everything, and tend to get everything done before I have to. Im the type to pack for a trip a month before we leave : )

I say shop away! Not too long until you find out the sex, how exciting!

I want to go shopping so bad to buy stuff...especially now that we know it's a girl, but truth is money is so tight right now until hubby starts his new job in Sept.  Ahhh....I cant wait.
