Not A Question...Just Some Awesome News!

I've been talking to family and my doctor and other women on the other forums here and I've been trying my hardest to convince myself other-wise, but I'm pretty sure about it now....I FELT MY BABY!!! For the past few days, I've been having this weird feeling. It's hard to explain, but it feels like a ball in my tummy just rolling around. Sometimes it feels like a gust of wind, but not butterflies. This is my 5th pregnancy, 3rd child (m/c'd that last 2 pregnancies before 7wks) so my body is pretty 'stetched' and knows what to do to prepare for baby and I think this is it! I am so excited. It feels a little more real than before now. Before there was just this big belly, but now I can FEEL my baby moving and that assures me she/he is okay. I'm in tears of joy to know that this is happening!

To all the Mommys who have felt the baby(ies) move...CONGRATS! Isn't it awesome? And for all those Mommys who haven't felt their little bundles of joy move yet, just hang in there...it will be here so soon!

For me, the first time felt like I had gas. Now it's flutters and little thumps in my lower abdomen and it lasts about a minute and then there's nothing until the same thing happens about 10 minutes later. I hope this helps.

What does it feel like, and how long does the sensation last for? Is it like a kicking feeling, or the butterfly senstaion they describe? Does it hurt or tickle? How long does it last for ? Just a moment or does it go on for a few minutes?  I don't think I will know the difference between the growing sensations or the baby moving...  I am 17 weeks today..

Congratulations!!!!! That is awesome! I felt my baby move for the first time last Monday and he/she has been moving around ever since. My husband got to feel it as well so he was excited about that! Congrats again sugs!!

yea....i am so glad to hear u say this since we r due the same day because i have been feeling these sensations for a little bit now and my boyfriend almost had me convinced i was crazy.just wanting so bad to feel baby..but i knew that i did.this is only my second pregnancy but i was sure of it the first time i felt it and i feel it now multiple times threwout the day.its absolutely amazing...congrats hun!!!!

Yay!!  So glad you definitely know it's baby moving around in there!!  I still doubt myself when I feel that "ball rolling" sensation, like you mentioned ...but I do think it's the baby moving around.  I can't wait till it's more pronounced ...but I'm definitely happy with the weird, squidgy feelings I get every now and then!
