Anyone else have cats???

I have two cats - I am already starting to worry about them getting into the crib with the baby - any suggestions?? - I have seen those crib tents (so not in my idea of decor for the baby room) the only other thing my husband suggested was a screen door on the nursery until the baby gets older...

hi i have cats and have bought lots of cat nets of ebay, i have also stopped them going upstairs as soon as i found out i was pregnant so they dont blame the baby later. i have also read about the bringing a baby grow into the house with the smell of the baby and placing it in the cats bed. i have three cats and i am not worried at all. the water spray also always works so will have that on hand just in case.

I have a cat too and we had Anika's door closed the whole time or our door closed when she was in the bassinet.  I had crib sensor thing on her crib (can't remember the name right now) to detect breathing and I had a monitor set up so I can hear her through the night.

I have a cat. We always just made sure he was locked out of either Noah's room or our room depending on where he was sleeping. It was never a problem. My cat is very violent with other animals so we were worried that we may not be able to keep him but he loves Noah, he plays with him and when he was a baby our cat would just come up and sniff him. Make sure you give the kitties lots of attention so they don't get jealous.

I had a cat with my oldest and instead of acting out of anger if she heard the baby cry she would find me and start to cry and follow me into the babies room. When you have the baby have your hubby bring something home that smells like the baby and see how they react. If they act up you may have to find them another home. Make sure prior to bringing the baby home you set up the crib and if they go to jump in it you can spray them with a water bottle to let them know it's off limits. Good luck....
