Anyone else measuring behind?

We have had a bit of a roller coaster so far so I am freaking out a bit.  I am under the care of a fertility specialist due to infertility issues so I have had several ultra sounds so far.  I had an ultra sound at 6 1/2 weeks and all the doctor could see was a sac.  He gave us a pretty grim outlook and scheduled us to come back in a week.  We were not hopeful at all for our second u/s and expected him to schedule a d&c after the second ultra sound.  Surprisingly, our second ultra sound showed our baby grew tremendously.  We all of a sudden had an embryo with a beating heart.  The baby was measuring a week behind but my doctor was extremely encouraged and said we should be fine, he sees this type of thing happen and it will hopefully catch up.  I imagine since he is a fertility specialist he does see these types of situations a lot so I trust in his opinion but at the same time am completely freaking out that something is still wrong.  I had a miscarriage 2 years ago so I am extremely nervous.  Is anyone else experiencing this situation?  Any postive thoughts or stories to share?

I think you are just fine. Once you get that heartbeat, the chances of miscarrying are very little. Try to relax your worries, and enjoy your pregnancy. Sounds like your doctor is taking good care of you and that's always a great blessing.
A lot of women measure behind because they have their ovulation date wrong. This may have happend to you.
Good luck! keep us posted :o)
