Are you still working or do you work?

Just something to do - How many of you are still working or do you work at all?

I finish up work at 35 weeks and 5 days! Only 5 more working days to go :0) It's been a real struggle to get through this far. I teach year 1 and they are so physically and mentally draining. I'm looking forward to a rest and some time to prepare the house!

I plan to work until whenever it happens. I guess I'm lucky b/c I get to work at home. I'm trying to save vacation days for when the baby comes. I can only leave either 6 or 8 weeks depending the type of delivery.

German legal maternity leave is 6 weeks before birth and 8 weeks after (12 weeks after for premature babies or multiples).

You have the option to take even more and get a portion of your income subsidized for a year, but I wont do that as we are building a house now and wont be able to do without my income.

I stopped working at 35 weeks but I was only working weekends since about 30 weeks, I was waitressing and it was just getting too rough. People dont care that I am huge and wobbly, they want their food lol

I'm a stay-at-home mom... although I'm an educational psychologist by profession, I just enjoy taking care of the house, my son and everything else while my husband deals with the hussle and bussle of society!!!

I feel very fortunate to be able to stay at home...

I had planned to work as close to my due date as possible - but I have a very stressful job (I'm a crime reporter for a newspaper) and it caused too much stress --- and eventually hypertension. My doctor let me work until the end of April and then pulled me from the job. It was raising my BP too high. So, I've been on leave for more than a month now....and I'll say, my doctor was right - because my BP has been beautiful since I left the newsroom.
The hard part is staying busy while resting - so time doesn't go too slowly. I have three doc visits a week (one OB and two for non-stress tests) so that gets me out of the house. I've also had time to organize (I'm a nesting nut) the house :).

I am still working unfortunately  but I will hopefully take one or two weeks off before my due date.  My husband wants me to wait as long as possible but I hate every minute of coming to my office.  I feel like I have soo many things to do at home...the nesting is starting I guess.

I wanted to continue to work but having such a physical job is the wrong one to have during pregnancy when you are as huge as me.
