Have you washed your baby clothes and linen?

Just wondering if you have washed your baby's clothes and linen, yet. Friends have been telling me to wait until just before but i think I want to wash now!
Have you washed and approximately when did you wash?

Any detergent that is dye free and fragrance free is fine. "All" is a good brand they have a free and clear detergent, it's in a white bottle.

I just wash all our stuff in the "All free and clear" that way I am not doing a whole bunch of separate loads and I figure the baby will be laying on us half the time anyways so we shouldn't be wearing clothes with strong smells.

I used Dreft with my son and it seemed to do the job! I will use dreft this time around just because I still have some left over.

Does anyone know what is the best baby detergent to use? I have been told lux flakes by some people but others say it leaves slime on the clothes. What did you use AP and kc1021?

Kc- I do until about 3-6 mos. I wait and see if my babies have sensitive skin luckily none of them did so I was able to switch over to tide....I will do the same with this lil man. You can usually tell after a few mos how their skin will be. I hope this helps!

Do you know how long you have to keep washing baby's clothes in baby detergent?  I cant remember how long we washed my son's clothes in baby detergent before I just started washing them with regular tide.   Not the biggest deal, just makes laundry more annoying!

I just had my app today and it seems the baby will be here soon so I pulled out his coming home outfit and getting that and my things washed up I got a new robe etc and I'm packing my bag his baby seat and carriage are already in the car. If not for today and being told I'm progressing quickly I would have waited last minute! Ha.

There is no reason to hold off on it if you have time now and want to do it. You are going to get more and more sore as time goes on and you'll be glad it is done.

I got everything washed and hung up at 33 weeks if not sooner. I didn't want to have to be dealing with all of that work later on.

I just washed EVERYTHING of the baby's last week, (36 weeks), sterilized his bottles and toys, just so if something happens where he comes early, I don't have to mess around with it after going through labor and trying to take care of a newborn.
