Heart rate question

Hello there, I guess I am posting this question because I am desperatly hoping for some positive input.  I had my first ultra sound the other day at 6 weeks 5 days and we were able to see the sac, and heart beat.  The problem was that the heart rate was only 70 bpm.  Of course all of the research I have done concludes that we are at very high risk for a miscarriage.  My doctor on the other hand was very encouraging saying everything looks great and normal otherwise.  Baby was growing appropriaetly and looked good.  He said to not worry and to not look on the internet because it will only scare me. Well of course I am doing both... esspecially worrying and crying like crazy.  Has anybody ever had a similar experience with a positive outcome?  oh yeah, I just want to add I have not been having any spotting or cramping.  I am scheduled to go back on Monday and I think the wait will kill me.  Thanks for listening!!!!

I wouldnt worry about it just yet. When I was 6w1d I went for my first sono and they couldnt even get a heart beat. I had to hold my breath, push on my stomach, not move a muscle and then they FINALLY got it at 92, then when they tried one more time they got it at 128...and thats bc the tech was very patient with me. Maybe yours just wasnt as patient and when they got the 70 bpm they gave up and called it that, without trying anymore. I have figured out that most doctors will not give you false hope so if yours told you not to worry and not to look on the internet then i wouldnt worry about it. If you doctor was concerned he would have started prepping you for the worst. When I FIRST found out I was pg I told my doctor that I was cramping and spotting and he was quick to tell me that there was a decent possibility that I would miscarry...come to find out I wasnt as far along as the dates added up to so it was just implantation bleeding. The point is, if you doctor starts acting worried, then you can too bc he gets paid to KNOW. Try to keep calm and happy. You'll feel much better though when you go for that follow up

Try not to compare your heart rate to anyone else's. Mine seemed low to everyone else's on this forum, and then it got better. At 6 weeks, it's so early. If you think about it the heart just started beating a few days ago. Try not to panic. Think of it as a good sign that your baby is measuring perfectly, and that you have a heartbeat. All VERY GOOD signs!!!
Dont stress. :o)

At around the same time i had a hb of 111. And had many more signs that things were pointing to miscarriage, bleeding, a irregular sac, a baby that didnt grow in 8days. But I'm now almost 11wks with a healthy baby.
I've learned with this pregnancy that anything is possible while pregnant and miracles happen all the time and doctors arent always right.

My first U/S was at 6 weeks 4 days and the heartbeat was 117. I got online instantly and all the girls here were in the 130's. I was worried as you. But the doc assured me also that all looked well. I am now 10 weeks 4 days and go tomorrow for a monthly check up! Things should be fine...I am looking forward to that heartbeat again tomorrow! I would try not to worry...trust your doc and relax!
