Help here, my baby cries himself to sleep

HI girls, I wonder if any of you have any advise in how to help my little one to fall asleep without crying. He is now 6 weeks old and since the last week when he gets tire and sleepy he won't stop crying until falling asleep. We rock him, feed him, etc until he falls asleep, but is a struggle, we tried putting him to sleep on his own but he won't do it neither, so we decided to rock him and still he cries and cries. Anyone has any ideas?

My baby hates his swin but loves when i swing him in the swing outside while holding him - go figure!
Mine too cries every night until he gets his last bottle before "bed time" and then I cuddle him on my chest until he falls asleep and then lay him down in his cosleeper.  I've tried the laying him down awake thing but he cried for 40 minutes and was covered in sweat.  That was a couple of weeks ago and I haven't put him through it again.  Maybe when he's older, bc when I picked him up he had trouble stopping crying so I knew that it was too much for him.
Being a mom is Hard!  So many tough decisions to make!

BTW-Peds do recommend that babies go in their crib while still awake but that doesn't work for everyone, at this stage in the game, I say just find what works for your little guy.

Have you tried a swing? My son is the same way, he gets so worked up and when he finally calms down and I lay him down he starts all over again. even if you dont want him to sleep in it all night at least let him fall into a deep sleep and then try moving him.
You're right to not want to let him cry it out, babies this young need to be snuggled and they need to feel secure.
Good luck hun, it'll get easier................eventually lol
