Anyone move baby to crib yet?

Jack will be 8 weeks old Monday - Oh My Gosh! I cannot believe he is almost 2 months old. Time if flying!
The little guy is getting bigger every day and seems to be filling up his moses basket..so, we have been contemplating putting him in his crib (in his own room, ahh). After a bottle he fell asleep on my chest tonight and I slowly got up and moved him to the crib. He's in there now snoozing...
Long story short (ha), has anyone else moved their bub to the nursery/crib yet? Is 8 weeks too early? I'm not sure about this! I miss him! :)
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their little ones! xo, Heather

I think I am going to do the same.  DH works nights and I work days and its what works for us right now - gotta have sleep in order to provide for the LO :-)

I won't be putting JT in his crib until he is to big to be sleeping in his cosleeper.

My son is in his crib but we share a room for now. He has been in his crib since about 2 weeks. Although if he is up a lot i co-sleep with him

He's doing better with sleeping but is very unpredictable. The other night he slept for 5 1/2 hours straight but the next night he was up every 2-3 hours. He's finding his rhythm!
He lasted in the crib for about 30 minutes last night and then started crying...I think he was falling back asleep and probably would have been fine but I missed him I guess and ran in there. I came back to the bedroom with him in my arms and got in bed and DH started dying laughing! Then DH rolled over and kissed Jack 100 times and things felt nice again. I will gradually introduce him to the crib, but I guess it's harder than I thought it'd be! I'm returning to work in 2 weeks so wanted to have a decent schedule set up, but we all know Jack will make his own schedule! :)

I moved my first into the crib at 2 months and I plan on doing the same with this one unless her day/night reversal isn't fixed by then (she is 3 weeks old today).

How is he sleeping for you??
For me, I move them to their own room once they are sleeping for a good long stretch, say 5 or 6 hours at least, at night.

that's a question that only you can answer... personnaly, I co-sleep with my baby and many people frown upon that but it is right for our family... I like being able to nurse without getting up, I feed him and then I roll back to my end of the bed... I get great night of sleep that way and don't feel sleep deprived at all... and because my baby feels my presence, he only wakes up 1-2 to feed and sleeps all the way to 7am...
meanwhile, my husband sleeps in our guest room and he gets a full 8 hours of undisturbed sleep... he needs that because he works full time again and at night, I expect him to help with our 4 year-old so he has to give him the bath and clear our the table  + load/unload dishwasher... it's our system and it works for us but it's not for everyone

good luck finding YOUR style!

I can't believe how fast our babies are growing up either!

I dont think it's too early, I wish I could put Evan in his room sometimes but unfortunately he will share a room with Noah and I dont trust Noah alone with him. I dont think Evan will sleep in there until he is 6 months old :/

I dont think there is any right or wrong time to move him to the nursery, it just depends on what is right for your family. If you will miss him too much then dont do it, like you said, time flies by so fast......
