Hey girls!!

Wow, I was totally missing you guys and wondered if by chance anyone was still here so I logged on... and there you are!!  How is everyone doing?

My munchkin is SICK as all get out and I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on with her.  Super frustrating... But other than that, I can't believe she just turned a year old!  If any of you recall, she was 5 weeks early, tiny, but healthy.  She is a tad behind in some things, but they are right---she catches up in spurts, it's almost freaky!  One minute she doesn't crawl (and has no desire to), doesn't clap (again no desire), and has no teeth.  The next morning she has two teeth, starts clapping, starts crawling, and says 3 new words!  Crazy.

So give me updates!!  I miss my girls!!  How is everyone doing?

Hey girl!!  I'm so glad to hear you and Cash are doing so great!  Kendall is ahead in some things (like waaay ahead) but rather behind in others.  She can't play patty cake (not sure if maybe i just don't know how she's sposed to be doing it, lol!!), but she claps and plays peekaboo (has played peekaboo since she was 3 months old, freaked us out with how early!).  She started rolling over really early too but then stopped and then hated tummy time so that delayed her a bit.  she didn't start crawling til 11 months but now she's a pro, she cruises only a bit i think she's about to "spurt" in that too because she's always trying to let go when standing all of the sudden.  Her first word was "pictures" (i kid you not), and now she can say pictures, mama, dada, daddy (when she's manipulating him, lol), puppy (rarely), bite, more, snack (looooves her some gerber puffs), bye, and "no ma'am".

she can say mama, but she doesn't really call for me or use it for naming me... :-(  she's a daddy's girl for now ;-)

she turned one on June 16th while i was out of town for work (destroyed me, but there was no way around it!!!).  we're trying to have a party for her tomorrow with friends and family, but it depends on how she's feeling.

Kendall is definitely sick, and with what I have no idea.  It's really throwing me for a loop (and the docs).  I'll post what's been happening and maybe--just maybe--please God maybe--someone else has experienced it and can give me some insight!!  Synopsis:

(Night of) Day one, I leave to go out of town for work but can tell she's not feeling well.  Daddy cares for her for the next four days through massive vomiting and diarrhea, no real fever though
Day 3 the vomiting has gone on so long and she's getting dehydrated, won't take anything, so DH takes her to urgent care, get her on antibiotics and an anti-nausea med when necessary, seems to be improving a bit on days 4 and 5.
Day 5, I get home in the evening, she's not great but isn't throwing up, appears to be doing better.
Day 6, seems like she's pretty near fully recovered, but does vomit once late at night
Day 7, starts spiking fevers, vomiting again.
Day 8 still high fevers (mid 105s), start managing strictly with meds to keep it down under 105
Day 9 still the same, fevers vomiting, but it seems like a pendulum, coming in waves from healthy to sick to healthy. is that a rash or is she flushed?
Day 10 bright eyed and bushy tailed. awesome!  rash is stronger, but she seems to feel great.  chalk it up to roseola.
Day 11, rash is stronger, yep must've been roseola--textbook rash for it, and fever nowhere in sight.
Day 12 fevers start up again at night... wha??  then the vomiting... wait a sec, once the rash of roseola presents, it's over---what's going on?
Day 13 more fevers off and on, but seems like it might be passing---and then suddenly at 11pm, the vomiting returns, WITH A VENGEANCE--wow! it is, by temperature, the hottest vomit i've ever experienced IN MY LIFE--borderline scalding, and omg the smell!!!  It made DH puke.  I have a stomach of steel and it almost made me puke.  But she didn't have a fever...??? what is going on??
Day 14 Today.  Thought last night was a fluke, happy as a clam this morning. nearly took her to daycare, but noticed some flushing (still has the rash but it only seems noticeable when she's warm), nah i'll stay home, let's wait and see how she does... No fever, but almost vomited this morning, got the last dose of antibiotics in her with the help of the nausea meds, went right back to sleep with a 102 fever and slept another 3 hours... then up but malaised, then starts perking up, now down for nap #2...

In a total of two weeks, she has been sick, had a 36 hour reprieve, been sick again, had another 36 hour reprieve, been sick again.  Vomiting + diarrhea the first time, vomiting + high fevers the second time, vomiting + lower fevers the third time.

What is this?!?!  I'm going out of my mind trying to figure it out so I can get her better!

Sorry that got so long, but I'm desperate to get my baby girl well again!

sooooo crazy that you posted!  I was thinking about you this morning (out of the blue!) and was going to email you!

Cash and I are doing great!  If you remember I had PPD really bad, but that is behind us now and we are having soooo much fun!  I can't believe I am planning a first birthday.  Cash will be one on the 1st.  He's doing everything - it seems - but not walking on his own - just cruising holding onto stuff, and isn't really fond of the sippy cup yet but loves a real cup.  He crawls super fast, has six teeth, and talks up a storm in his own language (ha!), he says several words, dada, hey, bye, stop, mama, tickle tickle, and two.  We count all the time, so when I say one he says two - so cute!  He loves patty cake and waving bye bye and playing with out little dog.

What's going on with your little one - you mentioned she wasn't feeling well?

I'm sooo glad you are back - we have missed you!!
