I had another doctors apt today!! YAY!

Well drove another 2 1/2 hrs to the doctors today. To find out that my baby is 1.4 mm too short to do a NT. Oh well. Didn't have an NT with my first, not real concerned about this one. But it was fun seeing it on a u/s and the baby isnt measuring 5 days behind anymore just 3 now.. The baby was moving around with its little arms and legs.... ( ill post pics later). Found out my cortisol level is dangerously low so I have to up my steroids, which is to be expected. Probably why ive been so tired. I also got a lab slip to have my thyroid levels checked since i've been having hair loss and extreme cold temps. Other than that all is well and i have to redraw my cortisol levels when i get back to kansas after our vacation to kentucky. Then I go back on 1/15/08. I'll be 15wks and 4 days then so maybe if its a boy he will show himself by then. :)

I have my IPS screening in a week and I will see my baby on an u/s, I can't wait!
I still don't show AT ALL, wear my regular clothes....I have no symptoms anymore, NONE! so I can't wait to see my baby doing well!!

well hypothyroidism is common in my family and from what i read is a common occurence in pregnancy. so im just being safe

Funny because I too have been shedding hair during this pregnancy, but to my knowledge its supposed to be the other way around during pregnancy.  You actually aren't supposed to lose much hair during pregnancy due to your hormones - it causes the hair follicles to hold on to hair more.  After pregnancy is when you are supposed to shed a lot due to the hormones changing again.  I dont know, I'm confused now!

AP, hair loss is very normal during pregnancy. I have been shedding like CRAZY!! That's how I was with Noah too.

You know interesting you say thyroid and hairloss I had my thryoid tested and they said it was low what ever one cause you to be skinny and then they retested it and said it's fine but in the mean time I have noticed with this pg my hair is shedding not falling our but everytime I turn around it's everywhere. I don't think they automatically check us in our intitial bloodwork but I'm going to request it my next app. Thank you for your post food for thought really. Congrats on your little bean!!!!

I'm glad everyone is doing good. My next appointment is December 29th so I will be about 12 1/2 weeks I think. I am going to have another u/s and hear the heartbeat for the first time!!!!

Happy you guys are all doing so good. I had an apt today too... babys measuring about 9 wks.... i got to see it moving its lil arm buds...so cute. I will get a full u/s in about 3 wks so im excited to see what has changed by then!!!

My  next appt is on 1/13/09 I'll be almost 13 weeks then. I got another u/s on 12/31 i'll be a little over 10 wks by then. I'm excited...........

Thats great... I havent made an appt yet with my OB.. i live in los angeles and im here in florida till after the holidays.. so i have to wait and see when I get back... Im glad everythign is ok other than the steriod thing... Im feeling good.. just tired all the time!
