Who is still breastfeeding?

Just wanted to know if anyone is still breastfeeding and if so when do you plan to stop?

I love breastfeeding and the connection between lilly and I but it makes it very hard to leave her with anyone else as she will not take the bottle - not even with breast milk in it! Not sure how or when i should wean her!

Stace- keep working on trying to find a bottle she likes and then you can pump.  Since I was supplementing I could go longer without having to feed him which gave me a little break at least to have my DH feed him!  Good luck!

Thanks Ladies!

Crysi: she will drink a little bit out of the sippy cup but then just ends up crying. i have tried the hard and soft lipped ones.

Zazou and Tasia: I have tried three different bottles tommee tippee, advent and browns milk flow - supposed to be anti colic and mimic the breast. I wonder if it's the same type of things as first years breast bootle. I will lokk into it!

Dani: Well done! It must feel good to be able to wear a normal bra and not have to worry about the clothes you wear "can i feed in this top?" LOL

Hol: i did plan on feeding until 12 months and i have a good supply. I just wish i could leave a bottle with her so i could have a girls night out or go to movies with my husband!

Second official day without breastfeeding!!  Colter was getting way to crazy on me and it was just too uncomfortable.  I have been supplementing with him from around 3 months so it hasn't been that hard.  It breaks my heart to take something away from him that he loves so much and the nights are harder now, but to NOT HAVE TO WEAR A BRA 24 HOURS A DAY!   AHHHHH!  LOL!  It is so liberating.  Also, Colter had major allergies so I can now start to eat normal again instead of having to watch everything I eat.

Have you tried different bottles? I tried in the beginning with Medina and she ended up liking the Philips Avent nipples. She drank out of a bottle for a while and my MIL has tried a different one which she absolutely hated. I'm going to try Avent again and see how it goes.

Hi.. I'm still breastfeeding my son and he will be 6 months on the 8th of this month, and I continue to still nurse him until 12 months. He does take both me and the bottle while I"m at work with my milk in it, never had a problem.... I'm sorry your having trouble. Best of luck.

I'm still breastfeeding. Medina will be 7 months on the 9th. She refuses the bottle, have even tried with breast milk inside. With a sippy cup, sometimes. She wants to drink out of a cup / glass just like her Mum and Dad :-)

I plan on BF until she's 12 months, my milk supply is still good which I'm happy about.

JT is still breastfed. I had the issue of him not wanting to take the bottle from me so we bought this breastflow bottle and it works great. If you are interested it is First Years Breast Flow bottle.

Lochlyn always took both breast and bottle so I can't really help there. Maybe try sippy cups instead of bottles? I know they have sippy cups for 6 mon up and Lochy can take them no problem.

I planned on breastfeeding still at this point Lochy weaned himself a couple weeks ago. He got a cold and didn't want to nurse and then once his nose cleared up he still didn't want to. He would latch for maybe 30 seconds then would scream for his bottle.
