They hurt very bad like a extra extra strength period cramp. They get stronger when it's time to push. They can be no joke.
With my first I did not experience the pain until after my water broke but you will have a tightening and hardening of your whole uterus. I experienced a lot of pressure in my back but again it is different for everyone.
I may sound naive but please indulge a first time mother.. what do contractions feel like and where exactly is the pain??
I also have been having this issue... Glad I'm not the only one! It *****
I also woke up last night in pain...so glad to see this post today cause it really scared mu husband and I
You always have to change what you are doing...if you are sitting..try walking. Drink a nice big glass of water too. Or if you are standing...sit down with your feet up.
They shouldn't really be so painful that you have to stop and brace yourself for them though. If that keeps up then I'd be talking to a doc/midwife.
last night i woke up with really bad pains... really kinda freaked me out! at first i thought i just needed to roll over to the other side and then another wave of pain came... then it kept coming every few minutes and all i could do was watch the clock... i tried walking around, going to the BR and eventually it just stopped but that was the longest 20 minutes! They sure felt like the real deal! Im glad they were not... way too early to be starting now!!
I was told that when your stressed or dehydrated they get worse so water should help!!
