What is yuhr bbys heart beat rate &' what are you having because I heard if its over 140 its a girl is this true?

So glad to see all you women, reporting the heart rates of your babies.  It's very interesting to see.  I tried not to pay attention to old wive's tales when I was pregnant. (And boy, do you ever hear all the stories.)  I just wanted a heathly baby.

I an having a boy and his heart rate is 152 resting and 162 when active.

my lil girls was lower and on another pregnancy site lots of ladies are expecting girls and hr is lower. if you all me its just nonsense

We are having a baby girl, and her heart rate is 150, as of last week during my 21st week. The highest her heart rate was around 160 at week 7.

My first baby was a boy and his heartrate was always below 140.  In the ninth month his hr was in the 125 range.  My second baby was a girl and her heartrate started in the 170's and settled out in the low 150's.

Heartrate and gender is definitely an old wives tale, but surprisingly, I have known so many women, whose babies had heartrates just like my kids.  They claimed that their girls had higher heartrates and their boys had lower heartrates.

One old wives tale says that the lower you carry a baby the more chance it it is a girl and with girls, you gain weight through your butt and hips.  With boy's they say you carry higher and the baby is all out in front with no weight gain or "poking out" around your rear.  Lots more problems with acne with a boy and none with a girl in my case.

So I guess it boils down to what you choose to believe about those old wives tales....

I found out Feb. 16 that I am having a girl. In the beginning of my pregnancy her heart rate was in the 170s. Now I am 21 weeks 3 days & her heartrate has stayed in the 150s.

This baby is a little girl and is always in the high 150's. With my son it was between 130 and 140.

My little girls was. The lowest was 144 at 7 weeks but the highest was 170 a week later. Dr said that it is a wives tale tho and he has seen boys with high heart rates.
