DH Has Type 2 Diabetes-Scared-Help

Hi everyone, I am sitting at my desk crying because in Nov. 2009 I had a m/c and I always wonder what could have happened.

Well I am now a little over 5 weeks and now I wonder if the m/c in Nov. 09 was because my DH has Type 2 Diabetes.  Does anyones hubby, fiance, or boyfriend have Type 2 Diabetes?

Yeah!  I hope you see a heartbeat!  At 6 weeks my dr had a hard time getting a clear pic.  Everything looked good, and we saw a flutter on the screen, but since she couldn't get a clear pic she wasn't 100% sure it was the heartbeat.  I kick myself for not asking what else it could be.  She pointed it out and said that's probably the heartbeat, but it's hard to know for sure.

lol, When's your first apt?  Will your dr give you an ultrasound?  I had mine at about 6 weeks and the ultrasound made me feel a million times better!

I'm sure everything will be fine!  I'm at 8 weeks and everything seems to be just fine, around the 6.5 week mark I freaked out when I realized that's when my baby stopped last time, but I made it past that and am confident my baby will be fine.  I'm sure you'll start to feel better once you make it past your miscarriage time!

My DH does not have it, however from ALL the searching I did with miscarriage, I found nothing stating that the husband having Type 2 Diabetes could increase your  chances.  The only thing I can find is that if the Mother has it, there could be complications during the pregnancy and it should be monitored.

I also miscarried in November of 2009, The dr's found nothing wrong with the baby (Since I had a D&C they tested the tissue), and my dr (and just about every site I found) said that I did nothing wrong, and that miscarriages just happen.  I was amazed at how many people I knew who had a miscarriage, and read somewhere that almost every women will suffer a miscarriage in there lifetime.  Most miscarriages happen for no detectable reason.  I'm SO sorry you had to go through that.
