Is it possible for your baby to drop at 34 weeks?

I was wondering if its possible for your baby to drop or start to drop at 34 weeks. I am currently 34 weeks and 4 days and I think my little girl has dropped or is starting too. I am going to ask my Ob when I go in for my appointment Wednesday but I would like everyone's opinion first. I feel like I can breath easier and like I need to go pee all the time but nothing comes out. Is it possible that she has already dropped?

I just wanted to note that although second, etc, time mom's don't typically have the baby "drop" that early, although for many mom's the baby still drops and pop's back up from time to time.  At about 25-30 weeks I'd felt my baby start to drop several times and my midwife said it's very normal for subsequent pregnancies because everything is stretched out.

I think with my first the baby dropped right around 35 or 36 weeks and I was exactly 2 weeks late with him.  I know a few other first time mom's who's baby dropped just a week or two before they delivered.  It's a definite sign your towards the end but not really a good indication of when you'll deliver.

I don't know if it's possible, but I'm 33 weeks and lately everyone has been telling me that my tummy has gotten very low. I just hope I don't go into pre-term labor. Everyone thinks I am due soon. I still have 7 weeks to go.

At my appointment for 32 weeks my midwife told me that my baby was down in my pelvis already. Not sure whether that means he's "dropped"...I assumed it was.

Typically your baby will drop in preparation for delivery any time after 34 weeks pregnant during your first pregnancy. This does not suggest labor is imminent, only your baby is heading south for delivery.

Second and third time moms may discover however that their baby doesn't drop until right before delivery. Why? Second and third time moms usually need less prep before labor and delivery.

First pregnancies the baby usually drops a month or so before delivery. Its in your second or more pregnancies where the baby wont drop until usually you're in labor or about to go into labor.

Hey there, it is very possibe that your baby has dropped byt his stage, babies generally get well engaged into the pelvis around 31 weeks for first babies, sometimes a little later or not at all for not first pregnancies. and also If you are finding it easier to breathe that is a definite sign that she has dropped down :) (go on take a deep deep breathe, you know you have to) anyways, things might not start labour wise still as dropping a good 2-3 weeks or more in pregnancy before hand is normal, your little girl is just making herself comfy. Good luck to you for your labour and birth and I hope all goes perfectly, i also hpoe my ramblings helped a little too :)
