what do you swim in while preggers?

just wondering as im having trouble finding pregnancy boardshorts.

also, where are you all form? Im living in America and but form New Zealand. I remember so many more girls in NZ wearing longer boardshorts than i see here in the US. I only find longer boardshorts in surfy shops here, but I don't want to pay more just for a label, AND, they aren't maternity!!!!

I know this is an old post but I just found that Target has swimming shorts in their maternity section.  Thought that might help.

yeah I would probably get some maternity shorts if someone would make them for me but I like the elastic and drawstring type of guy swim trunks I hate velcro though.

Tiffiepooh- would you get maternity boardshorts (short or long) if you could find someone that specializes in making them? or are you ok with the guys swim trunks?

i really don't mind showing off my tummy at all... its my legs that I don't like. I was wearing my husbands old swim trunks but I could only do the Velcro half way done up.

I wear a bikini... I show off my baby bump and don't care.. I'm not gonna go out and buy a maternity swim suit so i just wear my regular bikini...it still fits. Plus I want to work on my tan as well! :-)

I am wearing a two piece but the top is a takiny which coves my belly so I dont get burnt which I hate and I went and bought some guy swim trunks to wear over my bottoms which dont look too good on my bottom right now. So it just depends on you. I went to a store where they sell name brand for less so you could look for somewhere like that to buy them.

I wear a bikini with a tshirt on top, I take my kids swimming each week found it to hard finding maternity barbers

I am having the same problem trying to find bottoms. I don't mind showing off my belly bump :) I just don't want to show off the new stretch marks that appeared right bellow my butt :( And none of the maternity swimsuits I'm finding have boy shorts/board shorts.

I live in Southwest Florida and I'm proudly wearing my regular bikini. I have to buy a bigger top now, but I love showing off my baby bump. Plus all the maternity bathing suits cover it up and aren't really cute. I looked at some but they just aren't my style. I have been wearing some cute little black biker shorts for bottoms and a regular bikini top....because I'm a little embarrased that my butt is a little bigger than normal. But you wear what you want and feels good to you, but don't be embarrased....It's a Beautiful Thing!

Been in Florida for 2 weeks and wearing my regular bikini!  I get some finger pointing but always with a smile attached.  I do have a full one piece for when my bottoms won't stay up anymore!  I get BIG BIG BIG!  Last baby was 9 lbs and 2 oz - I am only 5 feet tall!

I wouldn't really call it a bikini but I bought a 2 piece bathing suit (which isn't going to last me the summer lol) but I feel you on the board shorts. I used to surf when I lived in FL and I always wore the board shorts. I did have the rip curl and quicksilver board shorts and I think if you want longer board shorts you can go online and try to find some... Here in the US they are all about label =S
