I bled from 5 weeks to 6.5 weeks.  It was the same thing as you are describing.  My bleeding was spotting. It was mostly when I wiped(sorry for the t.m.i)  Only one time there was ever enough for a pad, but most of the time it was barely enough for a few spots, and it went from bright red to brown the next day.

I had my ultrasound thinking for sure I was going to miscarry, but there was my baby's heart beating away.  Everything looked great and I am at 12 weeks tomorrow. When they were doing the ultrasound they could not find the cause of bleeding. They said it could have been a Subchorionic Hematoma, or breakthrough bleeding.

I wish you the best, and I really would advise you to call the doctor.  That is what they are there for!! xoxox

I bled worse then a period for 5 weeks straight during my last pregnancy. A positive ultrasound will always be better at determining the healthiness of a pregnancy and it sounds like yours was positive! :) Try to think good thoughts or if you are concerned contact your doctor and request a repeat ultrasound.

Yes, there are lots of reasons some people bleed or spot during pregnancy, and as long as the baby looks fine, try not to worry. I had the same thing happen to me as cocacolapanda with my last pregnancy. The baby had stopped growing almost 4 weeks prior.

spotting or bleeding is very scary when your pregnant.  I had some in my last pregnancy I had one day of very light brown, when I saw the dr I had a closed cervix but the ultrasound didn't show a baby.  From what I heard and learned, if you are bleeding and the baby is still doing ok then your not too bad off.  So many women bleed or spot during there pregnancies and have healthy babies, I'm hoping both you and persephonespryd are among them!

My Baby is measuring at 10w and I completely understand. I've been spotting/ bleeding off and on for the past week... since first doctor visit, u/s and pelvic exam. Mine goes from brown to red. I too was put on "light duty". I've not had intercourse since finding I was pregnant. Between not feeling good, him being out on jobs, and us both worrying, we just haven't. Now we can't.

The doctor isn't too concerned since the baby was checked out on Monday and heartbeat was strong. She said until there is cramping or bleeding more than a period, that I would be ok on rest. She was going to take me out of work for 2 weeks until my next appt, but I told her I'd take it easy and not do too much.... I would do about the same at work as I would at home. I told her if the bleeding gets worse, I would take off. She seems to think that everything will be ok.

It's still scary though.
