hey.... i am also 28 weeks. and im feeling pretty fantastic!! i sure didnt feel this good during my first pregnancy!! maybe that means this one is a boy!! lol
ive had pretty bad heartburn throughout the whole pregnancy, it was the same during my first pregnancy. ive gained about 20 pounds so far! im hoping i dont gain much more. but we'll see!! we havent officially decided on names, DF keeps changing his mind, lol.
well, im on holidays for a week now. i am at moms house vabobut 6 hours away from home... visiting. my body mustn't of like the drive because as soon as i arrived on saturday morning and took my shoes off... both feet instantly swelled!! they are still swollen today. its uncomfortable! with my first pregnancy my feet swelled after i delivered my daughter. they were swollen for about 2 or 3 days. it was tolerable for sure. but im a little worried now... are my feet gonna stay this way until the end?? lmao... i cant even wear shoes! my fingers are swollen too. im trying to enjoy my holiday, relaxing with my feet up.... but my 4 year old daughter is soooo active she doesnt want to sit still. its funny, i took her to a couple souvinier shops this morning... and there was people staring at my feet.... i felt so awkward. lol other then the swolleness... i feel fantastic. i cant believe how amazing i feel. its awesome!!
I'm 28 weeks too! Feeling good and enjoying the start of the 3rd trimester. I'm still having BAD heartburn and occasional nausea, but it's bearable. Over the past week my ankles/feet have become really swollen and I can't fit into most of my cute summer sandals!! :( ughh... flip-flops are all that is comfortable, but that doesn't cut it at the office! And I'm very, very tired.. I feel like at any moment of the day I could easily fall asleep. We are starting childbirth classes on July 5th - I'm very excited to start those, as I feel pretty unprepared as far as labor/delivery goes! My family/friends baby shower is on the 20th and my work is giving me a shower is on the 30th. I'm so blessed, so excited, and so enjoying every moment! And in case you haven't read my profile or seen posts, this is our first, and his name is Evan. He's been VERY active lately; he's taken a liking to kicking me in the bottom of my ribcage and at the same time pressing his head against my bladder... but I love feeling him in there and I'm really going to miss it when he's out! We had an ultrasound last week and he is weighing in at 2lbs 9oz - 72nd percentile for weight! Oy, thats a good sized baby! LOL... I've gained a total of 16 pounds so far, it seems to be piling on quite rapidly now - are you gals experiencing the same thing?? I'm a bit concerned because my doc doesn't want me to gain more than 30 lbs total, and at this rate it may be difficult to keep it under 30lbs by the end.... but I'm doing my best!
How are all the other September mommies???
hey hon!! im glad to hear that you are doing great, and that im not the only one that cant fit in any shoes!! lol its such a great feeling when the baby is moving around... this is my second pregnancy and with my first i felt like something was missing after i delivered my daughter... i missed having in her my tummy!! i missed feeling when she had the hiccups. i got over that feeling really fast though... its pretty hard not to when you're holding the most amazing thing EVER! lol
i really wouldnt be too worried about gaining too much weight... 30 pounds seems very healthy, and even if you go over that...oh well. as long as you and the baby are healthy thats all the matters!! good luck to you my dear!! im so happy that you are enjoying your pregnancy!
Hello everyone. I am 29 weeks now and I've gained 12 pounds. It seems that within the past month the pounds are just adding on. I guess I'll see where I end up. LOL! I am doing pretty well, glad everyone is as well. On the 7th I'm going to go have my 3d-4d songram. I can't wait. I will be able to see my little boy. I haven't really been having any symptons, except for the hunger. I'm back to getting hungry every few hours. My feet have only swollen up a few times with the humidity, but besides that I'm doing well.
I recently bought my nursery set and hope to have it delivered soon. I have the paint ready to go so hopefully his room will be done within the next couple of weeks. I can't believe how time has flown by. It's my first child so now I'm starting to get a little nervous. Don't get me wrong, I am excited though. I wonder whom he is going to look like. Will he look like my hubby or myself. Take care everyone.
I was at the dr. the 1st and everthing looks good! and I feel pretty good. I'm up 16lbs so far.
Well, like babydreams9, I might also be having a large baby. At 28 weeks she weighed 3 lbs 11 ozs... and just this past Monday (at 32 weeks) she weighed 5 lbs 11 ozs. So if she continues along this path (gaining 2 pounds a month), I might be looking at a 10 lb baby! I just actually took the 3 hour glucose test today just to be sure I don't have gestational diabetes... I did pass the first hour test with no problem (back at 24 wks), but given that one sign of gestational diabetes is a large baby, they wanted to be safe and double check anyway. I'll get the results from that test this Friday. Otherwise, she seems to be a very healthy little girl and I'm doing pretty good myself (aside from suffering through this heat/humidity and also dealing with puffy ankles/feet that don't want to fit into my sandals anymore). =)
