I am 17.5 weeks and still have not felt anything. No twinges or fluttering or anything that feels like gas bubbles. I have an anterior placenta and have read that if the placenta is in that position it can block you from feeling early movement of the baby. The way the placenta is positioned can make a difference in when you start to feel movement, so you should not worry too much. My doctor said some of her patients don't feel anything until 22-24 weeks, and I read several online posts from other women with anterior placenta who did not feel movement until 24 weeks. I can't wait to start feeling it either!
wow! I wish I felt flutters that often. I am really starting to get worried. My sis inlaw is only two days behind me in her pregnancy and she has already started feeling her baby boy moving. :( I barely feel flutters. Could there be something wrong with our baby?
Well i was informed at my ultrasound yesterday that I have a VERY active little girl inside me. Constantly moving and kicking and apparently a little thumb sucker, which she did for us on the monitor! I feel little flutters at least every hour at this point. I think this baby has my fathers hyperactivity! lol
Being your first one, it's quite normal not to feel anything right away. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I never felt the "butterflies" with her just a little ping here and there. Like, if you flicked your arm lightly. She is predictable. I feel her around 2-4 during the day, 8-9 at night, and when I wake up in the morning. She'll "ping" me just once maybe twice in the lower part of my belly.
Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. Hope you feel you "flutters" or "pings" very soon! :)
I am 20 weeks today and I havent felt the kicks just flutters every now and than. I dont even know its the baby for sure. I just hope that its normal not to feel him this late. Its also my first pregnancy.
I am 16w3d and have definitely felt movement is the last two weeks. The best time to feel it is after I eat and I lay down or sit very still. What an awesome feeling :-)
I am 16w 3d and I have felt occasional movement. I can't wait until it gets a little stronger and more frequent!!
This is my second baby and I am soooo anxious to feel movement! I keep feeling little flutters but I can't tell if it's baby or just gass bubbles lol. I am 15w3d, and with my first I felt her once at 16-17w and then not again til 18 weeks. Best feeling ever!
This is my first pregnancy and I haven't felt anything yet, really not sure what to expect. I look forward to it :)
yep I guess for about 3 weeks now just random bumps its baby num4 so I expected to feel something lol Im excited Im 13weeks and 6 days
That may be the case. I know the doc said the placenta is exactly where it should be, but don't know what the location name for it.
I will check it out. I go to the specialist April 1st. Can't wait!
I think i felt bubby move for the 1st time this pregnacy!!!! - 16w5d!
I had just sneezed and then sat still for a sec, then had all these fluttering..AMAZING!
I found out that I too have an anterior placenta and with that, I haven't felt anything yet. I will say though when I am laying flat on my back and I hold still, sometimes I can feel little flutterings in my lower belly. So maybe I am feeling it and don't know? This is my first baby so I really have no idea what i'm feeling. :) I do get to go and find out what i'm having on the 14th of next month! Totally excited for that!
I found out at my u/s this week that I have an anterior placenta. I just looked it up, and it is nothing to worry about but it means that you often don't feel movement until much later because the placenta cushions it all. Lots of postings said they did not feel movement until 24 wks with anterior placenta! Bummer. I guess I have a while to wait.
Jackie - maybe this is the case with you too?
I'm 13w4d and haven't felt anything yet! I had NT scan yesterday and saw the baby moving around. I can't wait til I can feel it - it will be so reassuring to feel the baby moving.
Im 16 weeks and I have felt a little movement here and there since about 12 weeks. But I do feel that it is getting alot stonger the farther along I get. I havent felt any big kicks or anything yet!! I cant wait for that!
yes ive been able to feel our baby i will be 17weeks tomo,
I *think* I felt something yesterday and the day before. Not quite the flutters I felt with my other 2 children, more like bubbles this time. I go for my NT/US today so hopefully I'll get to see baby swimming around like crazy again.
We are 14 weeks, 3 days and I haven't felt anything yet. I have two children but they are in their 20's. So we are waiting to feel movement. We have had many ultrasound and you would think the Peanut was on caffeine jump all over the place and I don't feel a thing.
I'm 11w6d with my first pregnancy and I have been feeling flutters for about a week or 2 :)
After reading this yesterday I was like, huh, I haven't noticed.... Then, in the car last night I felt...poke..poke...poke.... and I was thrilled..This is my 4th :)
Haha I know what you mean Klr2650, my daughter is only turning 3 and i have already forgotten everything about when i was pregnant with her. I keep thinking to myself i dont remember feeling like this or that happening.
I have been feeling flutters, like there is a butterfly in a certin spot but yesterday i got a full on bump, but only once.
i'm 15weeks with my 2nd preg..i'm still not sure what i feel periodically is movement or just Uterus stretching? I forget what it's like. My 1st child is 7yrs old!
I had flutters by 10 weeks. I am 12 now and have most definitely felt movement. i had to push on my stomach after my shot and i got movement repeatedly now if i push around that spot it happens again. :)
