Tx Dr for this. My doc demanded I ran an HSG test last week Thursday. On getting there they couldn't fix in their instrument. They asked if I had given birth before (I have a son of 2yrs + 9mnths old), that my cervix was patulous. They asked me to go to my clinic - gynae ward and get a catheter fixed to locate the opening - that should be done tomorrow, Monday. What a ripoffs. I don't know y such difficulty in locating my cervix hole, and I wonder could this be that semen don't go in but just spread over my cervix? God help me.
FWIW, the research I've done says you probably won't get an accurate reading until 14-21 days after ovulation. I've also heard that 60% of women don't test positive with a HPT until 8 weeks or more. So if you haven't already you could retest! Personally, I've gotten rather tired of seeing all the negative tests...this time I'm waiting until my period is 2 weeks late before testing :) hope this helps!
