Could HPT be incorrect?

My cycle is 25 days. I have a very regular cycle. My husband and I had intercourse on the first day of ovulation. 20th of March. I had 2 days of spotting on the 1st and 2nd of April (12 days later) spotting was very light, brown and pink in colour. (Maybe implantation bleeding) I was suppose to get my period on the 9th of April. I'm now 6 days late. I did a home pregnancy test when I was 2 days late, 4 days late and one this more because I'm 6 days late... All tests came up negative. We have been trying to conceive for 10 months now. This has been the first sign of anything to do with pregnancy. Could the HPT be wrong? Could I be pregnant? What should I do from here?

Thank you for your response. I visited my doctor and she suggested the same thing.

There's always a false negative but never a false positive, meaning you can be pregnant just not enough hormones in your urine. If I were you I'd request a HCG quantitative blood test, that's the most accurate form of pregnancy test.
