Implantation bleeding?

Two days ago I had spotting (darker red/brown in color) mixed with what looked like clear discharge and tissue strings (not sure how else to describe it). It wasn't enough to wear a pantyliner but was there when I wiped. I had it a little bit yesterday as well but is now gone. My period is due next week. I've been nauseas off and small cramping but no other symptoms. When I google these symptoms the first thing that comes up is implantation bleeding.

Has anyone experienced something  similar and if so what was the outcome?

Background: I've been pregnant 5 times resulting in three ectopic pregnancies and two miscarriages. I didn't have these symptoms with any of those pregnancies.

Also, I took a pregnancy test today (negative) but I think it's too soon.

A bit of bloating which I get around my period anyway but that was it and this second time it's hyper alert for any possible symptom as we had been trying for a lot longer this time round

With my first I had no spotting at all and no clue till I was 5 weeks when morning sickness came but this time I had red/ brown spotting about day 4 and 5  before my period. Like you only when I wiped once each day and I assumed my period started early. On the second day I took a pregnancy test and the line was so faint I thought I was imagining it so I did one the day after using first morning urine and there was a band! Everyone one and every pregnancy is different but if you can wait a day or two then retest you never know. Good luck!
