Irregular periods and trying to have a baby

I am 24 and I have always had irregular periods, at one point I only got 3 periods in one year. I recently had my last cycle at the end of January beginning of February and just received my period this month(July) and it's extremely light and I'm not for sure if it's a period or I'm spotting. Anyways, long story short I was wondering if anyone is experiencing this problem and does it have a big impact on conceiving a child, me and my boyfriend are ready and we have been trying but no luck, is it because of irregular periods that it's so hard to conceive?

I was the exact same but I went on birth control on for few months. Feb to October. Started trying in October got pregs in December. Used to have highly irregular periods. I can go six months without. Relax your mind n keep trying. Best of lucks.
