Trying to get pregnant with PCOS

Hi, my daughter has PCOS and is trying to get pregnant. The doctor put her on Primolut as she has hardly any periods, 100mg Clomind , 500mg x2 a day metaformin , she has been on it for only 1 month , period is late , she did a pregnancy test and it was negative.

She also took a thyroid test , her TSH was 2.42 , I have read that it needs to be 2.0 or under to get pregnant , is that right ?

I would be grateful for any advice ,

San

Hi. I also have PCOS. I was diagnosed with it about 2 months ago. I get severe cramping and had my period about every 2 months instead of every month. My doctor put me on the metformin and I have been taking it now for a little over 2 months and my cramps are getting easier to handle as well as I am getting more regular periods. I understand what she is going through! I have been trying to have a baby for over a year now and just got diagnosed with it. It can be stressful and upsetting but the medicine takes a couple of months for it to start working. I also have a thyroid problem, with have never heard of it needing to be under 2 in order to get pregnant but i would check with the doctor. If she has a thyroid problem and needs medicine then she has to make sure she's taking it daily!! I would just give the medicine a few more months to let it start working. I definitely understand what your daughter is going through! I wish her the best of luck!!
