Cramping months after miscarriage

If anyone could let me know their thoughts or situation this would be greatly appreciated.  I miscarried in December 2007 and have had 2 period since.  But I have been getting a lot of cramping lately.  It first started 2 weeks before my last period (from March 21-26).  So it has been about a week since my period is over and the cramps continue.  I usually don't get any cramps (for my period) until the day I start.  I had called the OBGYN because I was 2 weeks late for this last period and his Nurse said that cramps are normal after a miscarriage, even though it happened months ago.  My question to you all is, does anyone know what the cramping is about? or how long has it lasted for everyone else?

I AM IN THE SAME SITUATION. IM HAVING CRAMPING AND LOWER BACK PAIN JUST LIKE I DID WITH MY MISCARRIAGES BUT I MISCARRIED OVER A MONTH AGO AND I HAVE ALREADY HAD A PERIOD SO IVE BEEN CONSIDEREND. I WAS IN HORRIBLE PAIN LAST NIGHT

Well I've also had 2 m/c and the cramping stopped after I passed the fetus. I'm not really sure why your still cramping especially since you've had 2 periods. Have you had a pap since your m/c? You might want to set up a appt. for that. I don't know about your Dr. but my Dr. did a pap after my m/c to make sure everything had passed through. It could be that you have something else going on in there. I would get yourself in to see someone about it. Good luck hun!
