I went to the dr last week. (I will be 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow) anyways, when they checked my cervix they said I was dialated 1cm but that my baby's head is already at a -1. They literally had to feel behind his head for my cervix because I'm carrying so low. I was wondering if anyone knows what the -1 means? I tried to goggle it, but I couldn't find it.

sorry, -1 (negative numbers) is still closer to the inside. Positive numbers are closer to the outside.

It means your baby is at station -1. It means how far the babies head is into your pelvis. I think it goes from -3 to +3. -1 means that baby is indeed low. Google images of "baby station" and the first that comes up is a diagram.

"Stations" are relative to the baby's location (how far the baby has dropped) in your pelvis. If your - 1 them then your baby is closer to the outside than the inside. Check this out  http://pregnancy.about.com/od/laborbasics/g/station.htm
