So I have seen in some of the birth stories the baby being -1 what does that mean ?
It refers to how deep the baby's head is in the pelvis. Negative numbers are what they start with up until a positive 2. Once it gets to 0 it means the baby's head has settled. When it get to an 2 it's fully engaged.
