im in washington state over by spokane and i have to go 45 minutes out of my town to have my vba2c=). im due any day now(36 weeks) and from what my doctor told me he said its between 1%-3% of uterus rupture and really thats pretty low=) loads of baby dust your way hun!!
I meant "known for" not none. My brain is full of pregnancy hormones. haha
I'm in NC. We aren't none for our progressive attitude but we still have docs and midwives that will do this. That's because the research is showing it is much safer to have a vaginal birth than a c-section regardless of your birth history. There are extreme cases but most women can try for a vaginal birth. It is not true the chances of the scar tissue tearing are very high. I'm not sure where that poster got her info. It is probably old data but the recent studies don't show that it's a high risk of abruption. In fact you can decline a c-section. It's your right.
I agree with spiket, the doctor I'm seeing does VBAmC, as well, it's probably harder to find, but they're out there!
thanks i will do more looking into it
thank you for your reply i need any info i can get
thank you i shur hope i can find someone willing to do this
thank you so much it is so hard to find any info on vbac of any kind.i want a natural birth so bad am willing to travel were ever i can find a doc willing to do this.do you know of any good docs that have done this befor?is so what state?i would like to see a doc that has done this befor.so any info you may have so very welcome.thank you so much for the info:)
Ya it might be possible but most doctors anymore are not going to do it because of the risk it can cause you and baby. Its like having an episiotomy vs tearing naturally... a tear is going to heal better than a straight cut. Same with a c section scar the chances of it tearing where the scar tissue was is very high and if that happens then your baby can get infected as well as you. Just know that your dr is looking out for you in the best way they possibly can. My sister had an emergency c section with her first after 22 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing... Contractions were every 30 seconds and the baby's heart rate kept dropping with every push. Once the dr got to the hospital (which the nurse didnt want to call him, she wanted to deliver the baby on her own) he took my sister straight to surgery.. She had 2 more c sections after that and while its not fun to recover from it it will be healthier and safer for you and your baby and that is what is most important.
Thats great for them i can't find a doctor in my state to do a vaginal after multiple sections:-( i hate how i feel after too so if u can find one i hope it works for you!
Sorry to veto the other girls but it IS possible. Yours would be called a VBAmC (Vaginal Birth after Multiple Cesarean). You can read up on your options and the studies here http://www.****-online.org/vbac/home
You will have to find a caregiver who supports this and who has read the most recent studies. Good luck to you!
No its not possible because after you have a c-section you have scar tissue and when you have another one you get more scar tissue and then it becomes dangerous for you and baby.
thanks i just hate how bad i feel after one
I don't think so :-( ive had 2 and even the doctor that said i could have one last time said no this time cuz its to high risk after multiple sections :-( sorry hope someone tells u different

It is more difficult to find providers but they are out there! I promise. I just had two students have successful VBAmC and on top of that they were natural, unmedicated and water births.
