Bummed :/ 6 days from my due date

I'm 6 days from my due date and still only dilated to a 1. I'm hoping by some miracle she still comes before my due date! I do not want to be induced. They'll induce me either on my due date or the day after due to high blood pressure. I'd rather have her come on her own :/ blah.

@makeartnotwarr69 I don't really want it for a couple reasons :/ everyone I know who's been induced said contractions hurt way more, they come on a lot more, labor is way longer which can end in a c section if it takes too long, and can also cause distress on the baby. I'd just rather go natural! But her safety comes first and that's all I care about. I'll get through it, just bummed!

Gotcha. I was wondering about that because a lot of women seemed opposed to it. I would still want a natural birth regardless but I hope she comes natural for you wife and mama2014

Have a little hope hun! I know how frustrating it can be I tried everything the last week before my due date and finally 3days before I had my membranes swept and I went into labor :) good luck mom!!

Getting induced has a higher chance of a c section birth. And people have said it hurts alot. Not all cases of getting induced end up with a c section but it's a scary thought. So most moms want all natural.

Hang in there girl. I'm a day away from my due date. Yes getting induced isn't always what you want but it's still a healthy way. Don't let all the negative stories cloud what you think about it. I use to be terrified of it but now I realized If needed it will benefit me and my little girl. Chin up and walk alot! Your little one will be here when they are ready.

Just curious, why don't woman want to be induced? Is it strickly because of preference or is there some medical reasons?
