My couion just found she is losing her baby at 16 weeks she want to if she can have a nataurl miscarragie or will she need a D&C
It really depends on person but at this late stage I think that OB will schedule her for D&C.
At this time she would not get a DnC for the baby and would give birth per say or MC. THe baby would need to be saved to see why she MC also. As long as everything passes then she will not have to have surgery. But if it did not she would have to have a DnE it is a little different then a DnC.
That is surprising that they let ger go natural. Maybe she wasn't as far along as she thought. Sorry to hear about her loss - I know it's super tough. Be supportive to her, as I'm sure you will.
