fetal liver infection

I had an ultrasound today and I was told my baby has liver infection. I am 19 weeks. What does this mean for the baby? Can this infection be treated? Thank you

Just because I didn't find too much info on the internet I decided to be part of a forum. But thank you guys for your words. I just hope and pray to God that everything goes fine.

I have an appointment at the doctor on Wednesday, and that day I will get my test results too.

After resorting to google I wanna say ask your doctor for more information.  It appears that it usually happens later in pregnancy and it's likely to go away after birth but some cases are more serious and require more attention.  I'd ask as they probably have the knowledge to know how serious it is.

I would most certainly talk with your doc and a Neonatologist about this. I would try to avoid reading info about it on the Internet as it will just stress you out and that isn't good for either one of you. You and your lil ones will be in my thoughts. Get ahold of the dr soon so you're not worrying about it. Stay strong Mommy and good luck!

What did your doctor say,  eraina?  I'd hate to think of a thread with people kind of guessing the prognosis for your baby.  Have you had a chance to talk to your doctor?

Best wishes.
