Junebug and Chrissy both gave you the only(and best): '..what should happen next..' advice. Years ago when I just got the 'feeling' that I was pregnant, I didn't bother with a drugstore (over the counter) test. I knew that no matter what the outcome, the doctor was just going to test me again. I went to the same OB that delivered my 2 nephews. So I waited until my appt. and sure enough, my feeling was correct and I was pregnant. I recall that right after he told me I was pregnant, he told me that as well as delivering babies (as a gynecologist,) he performed abortions. I found his annoucement to be inappropriate, ill-timed and just plain ugly! I obviously found another OB to take care of my pregnancy.
The best way to find a doctor for you and baby is typically through someone you know. Word of mouth is usually the best way to find anything! But remember that how YOU feel around someone is the most important thing. If you don't feel comfortable and at ease with a doctor and his/her staff, then it's time to move on!
