Cervix being checked at weekly appointment.?

Does the doctor suppose to check your cervix everytime you come in for a weekly appointment to see how far your dilating.?

You dilated to a 5 serously how does it feel.?

Im 37 weeks and my doctor jus asks if i want to be checked and i always like to be checked mainly because im already dilated to a 5

Yea I know because when she checked me that crap was hurting really bad but she said he slowly moving down so thats a good thing hopefully I dilated some more but when she checked me in when I got home some clear stuff came out in it kept coming out in pieces I was told it was a piece of my mucus plug

You moving along pretty well dilating ..but nope I haven't lose my mucus plug I don't think ...not unless I've been losing it slowly overtime sometimes it can be confusing because everyone's look different & different colors (I googled mucus plugs)..and I agree it definitely does hurt alot! I'm only a fingertip dilated :/

Yea I was asking b/c I went to the doc this past monday in she checked in I was 3cm dilated in she said she want him out before his due date which is on tha 19th of this month in I wanted to know b/c I would like to know how far I dilated again but tha crap hurt in does any of some of yall mucus plug come out a little

My midwife. Just checked me first time yesterday after strep b test Ill be 37 weeks Saturday. She said I can be checked Evey week from now on if I want but if not that's okay as well and I can just be checked again at 40 weeks

No. not all dr check at every app. My app started becoming every week at 36wks and I didn't get check until 37wks but I had to ask cause my dr doesnt normally check until 38wks. Just ask your dr to.get check and they will :)
