Congrats on going those photos are SO EXCITING!

hey i live in telford PA. i'm going to a place in Chalfont. its called Babies First Peek View of a Womb. where did you go and where are you from?
i love your 3/d pics, my goodness how precious. i hope mine turn out as cute. i'm soo worried that my baby won't show his face. the last few u/s' he was laying on his belly facing my spine.
I get mine in 3 weeks when I'm 28 weeks
I get mine in 3 weeks when I'm 28 weeks
I haven't got mine yet I have to wait til 24 weeks so that's another 8 weeks away.....but it's a private clinic here too and I don't think my Dr will have any trouble signing the paper since he gives out the place that does it's business cards on his front desk
Check out my photos under my profile and I posted a few pics from my 3D ultrasounds (2 different pregnancies). There are no risks. The only risk involved is that the sonographer could find something of concern, which by law they are supposed to report it to your doctor. However that is the exception, not the rule, so don't freak that you'll see something wrong!
Yes I got the DVD as well. It's almost 20 min long! Also I got a CD of like 70 pictures. I had such a wonderful experience. It really is amazing. I mean my little boy's nose looks just like my husband's nose when he was younger, it's crazy!! But he definitely looks just like my husband as well. I didn't think it would be so clear. You will love it. =)
I noticed you live in Telford, PA....not too far from me!! What U/S place are you going to?
thanks girls! i'm really lookin forward to it! thanks again! it makes me feel better about having it done. i scheduled this thing almost 8 weeks ago and have been counting down the days since. i'll be sure to post my new pic when i get back on saturday morning. Chantal21, did you get a dvd? i'm wondering how neat it turns out?
I dont think there is anything to worry about. I have a wonderful doctor and they actually offer them at their office.
I don`t believe there are complicantion after 3D/4D. It`s an ultrasound like 2D but in 3 dimensions. This u/s has more psychologic than medical significance. But I think that in 21 century every one should make at least once 4D because you can see the face of your baby. I have high risk pregnancy and in the begining (I was bleeding for 2 weeks) I had appt every week also an u/s scans.
The doctor didn`t give you a note because for the doctors 4D is a cosmetic metod and can`t tell nothing more than 2D (I mean for morphologic anomalies). With 4D you see the outside of your baby`s body but not the internal organs. But you can see the gender, how does it looks .....
I made an us at 20 weeks in a private clinic but the ultrasound machine had the both possibilities (2D and 4D).
Good luck.
Wow...your story is just like mine!! lol. My midwife wouldn't sign the paper stating I was her patient either! So I took an U/S photo...and that's all they needed. I had mine done at 29 weeks. The U/S itself didn't last any longer than about 20 min. But the whole process was about an hour. It's your decision, and personally, when I am pregnant next time (I'm only 33 weeks and already talking about being pregnant again! lol), I plan on going back again to have one done! I had such a wonderful experience. Now the tech did tell me that this wasn't a medical U/S, but he was trained and knew to look for any abnormalities. He did tell me that if he saw something, he would have to call my midwife and notify her and wouldn't be able to tell me anything. So after the U/S was complete, I asked him if he had to call my midwife...he told me he had no reason to! Thankfully!! =)
I haven't had any complications from it. A friend of mine claims that because she had a couple of them done toward the end of her pregnancy, her boy had a sleeping disorder for the 1st year of his life. I don't know if the U/S did that, but she was kinda blaming it on that. How far along are you? I don't see any problems with it.
