LOL...im kinda frustrated because now im at the other extreme...instead of dealing with a short cervix i now have a lengthening cervix....im so afraid that the same is going to happen with my son and ill end up going past my due date :(
i dont know what to think rigth now...im still irritated about my inconsistent docs...hopefully my next appt at the high risk doc will have better results and more clarity
LOL I was totally gonna mention Grey's weight as a point of reference girl you've got my back ;). Yeah they told me to expect a baby closer to 9/10lbs; apparently I was carrying a, pardon the phrase, crap-ton of water (enough so that when the doctor broke my water he literally broke down into hysterical fits of laughter because he had his hand up my vagina and his arm was being covered to the elbow in gushes of water that, to quote him "just won't stop!!!". I'm famous in that hospital now.)
point of the story is that a lot of things affect the weight measurements and my 10-lb-er turned into a not-quite-8-lb-er.
I agree with GA (as usual!) about the cause of the pressure and want to add that since your cervix is lengthening maybe that's causing some of the bizarre feelings too?
thank you for the information....you are always so good at supplying the mising links the docs dont give us :)
im just gonna hang low until my 34 week u/s appt and then if they are still giving me the run around im going to raise hell...they need to get consistent and figure this out...otherwise as soon as im 37 weeks im gonna bd everyday and do whatever natural method i can to get the baby out sooner...im just so scared about delivering this baby while taking heparin
Lets see if I can answer some of your questions.
Anterior placenta just means that it's on the front side of the uterus near your belly button instead of in the back near your spine which is where it typically attaches. There really aren't any issues with it so long as it stays out of the way of the cervix. It can mask some of babys movements. I, too, have an anterior placenta with this pregnancy. My doctor isn't concerned with it either.
As for the measurements, babies in the 3rd trimester grow at all different rates. Just becuase she measures a little big this time doesn't mean she will come early, nor does it mean she will be a big girl. It's entirely possible that her growth will slow down. Keep in mind that 3rd trimester measurements can easily be off by up to 2 weeks either way. Just look at Ashelen...she was told she was going to have a BIG baby...he was born 7 lbs 10 oz.
I would be aggravated too with the wishy washy-ness of the induction. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon.
That's great news about your cervix. I know it's a big relief.
I can tell you that the pressure you feel is most likely becuase she is head down. The head being so much harder than the rest of the body presses against the cervix and can cause pressure especially during BH, even if you don't notice the BH you may notice the pressure.
