Miscarriges

I am a little worried I am 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I have a doctor's appt. for the 18th of March. Yesterday I was reading about missed miscarriages and I got worried because it said that some of symptoms may be light brown blood. At the beginning before I knew I was pregnant, this was like one week after my missed period, I noticed that when I pee, and wipe I would see a light brown substance. I know with a missed miscarriage you would still have symptoms of pregnancy and still see a positive pregnancy test. But since then I haven't seen any of the light brown spotting. I'm very nervous about my appointment and just hoping and praying that everything works out. This is my 1st pregnancy and my boyfriend and I are very happy. Should I worry myself over this?

hey - I had bright red bleeding at about 8 weeks - and before that, i also had brown spotting at about 7 weeks. I am now almost 38 weeks with the same pregnancy and baby is looking great. I learned there is a lot of unexplained things that happen and different reasons why. Someone might bleed red or brown and it is a sign of a problem - while others have this and it means nothing. Best thing to do if you see blood is see your DR or pop into ER. But try and be positive!

I still think you should try to see your doctor on Monday or at least call...I had no cramping...and the brown spotting...I had a mc...

I have had 3 mcs an brown blood is normal.  If its pink or red then you should be concerned.  I think your ok.  And you would have cramping or achs during a mc.  Anita

I wouldn't worry. I had a little spotting right around when my period was due and it turned out to be nothing. You'll be feeling worlds better after that dr's appointment. Congrats!

I agree with Darkestlight. Some women bleed (no matter the color) and their baby is FINE! Keep your chin up and don't freak until you know what's going on.

I spotted brown right after my egg implanted with my first baby...Funny, within a few days, I KNEW I was pregnant. Then, I began bleeding bright red and had some clotting at about the time the placenta took over and the yolk was gone. It had attached directly over a blood vessel so for several weeks, I would just bleed. I was SOO worried that the placenta would detach altogether and I'd lose the baby, but it never did. I had MANY u/s done to confirm that everything was OK. Don't be afraid to go in, your OB should be totally supportive of that! My body healed and I now have a healthy 16 month old daughter.

I hate to be the doom and gloom especially after tarajanes comment but I had one mc and mine started with a spec of brown when I wiped.  I called my dr. and they had me come right in and unfortunately the confirmed the pregnancy was not viable at 10w...I was still waiting for my first appointment which was set for week 12.

I'd call your doc on Monday to see if they can see you sooner.

Good luck!
