38 week...

Tomorrow is my 38 week appt i am hoping A. Be dilated more and B. To get the doctor to schedule an induction for next week so ill be 39 weeks! Hoping he is okay with it. I want am induction because i have a 3 year old and not much family that are capable of taking care of him at a unexpected notice so if it can be scheduled that would make life so much easier!! Wish me luck!! :)

Hey I understand that kalie1313 100% your kids safety and security is worth anything life throws at u. I would go through hell for my little one anytime day or night

I was induced a week ago I was in labor like 15 hours n it was painful n all but I had a vaginal deleviry they cut me so I didn't tear

Sometimes people have different effects to induction. With my daughter, yes it was hard labor compared to regular natural but my labor from beginning to end was less than a hour and baby wasn't in distress.

I had pitocin( used for induction) made labor a nightmare and baby ended up in distress , had to have a csection. Wouldn't advise Inducing.

Ya, I was told if my boy isn't born this week, they'll induce me next week. So sortof have a time set out. :-)

I was induced with my son 3 yrs ago and didn't have a hard time at all maybe i got lucky.. But i would rather go threw hell knowing my baby boy is well taken care of than having a crazy mess to deal with and go natural.

Doctors have their own ways of doin things it can be very dangerous to check the cervix because it can lead to an infection that's why they don't do it until your father along in pregnancy my doctor does it the last month your pregnant.. I've been getting checked since 34 only because i was having some pre labor stuff but usually he starts checking at 36 until delivery.. Your doctor must just do things differently.

I understand the no one to watch ur child I have the same issue here. But I don't want to be induced again I was last time and had to have a csection...also some ladies in here said its more painful...but u have to do what is best for u and your family..good luck

I know the feeling. Exactly in the same situation as you. I'm kinda scared now tho. I was induced with my 5 year old and didn't have to worry about support and the labor was very hard. (I have had two other regular natural labors) But now, I have slim to no support and don't want to have hard labor and hemorrhoids bad. Grrrr.... I'm 38 weeks and 2 days now.

I am 37 weeks and they still have not checked me to see if I am dilated they said they would next week. Is this normal to wait until 38 weeks?
