5 weeks pregnant with slight cramping and bleeding

I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I had to go to the doctor unexpectedly today because I started hurting and spotting some. The pains only lasted about an hour and a half. I really didn't bleed much at all.  Anyways, I went to the doctor right away and they did an ultrasound. On the ultrasound we saw the sac and the doctor said the blood flow around the sac was good.  He said it was too early to tell much about it.  They did a quantitative HCG test but I'm not sure what the results were. I am supposed to go back Monday to have another ultrasound and another HCG test to compare the levels.  The doctor told me to stay in bed until I come back on Monday. I was just wondering if anyone has had something similar to this happen to them and what happened? Also, is it ok for the ultrasound to just show the sac and nothing else at 5 weeks? Thanks.

You wont see anything at 5 weeks but the sack.  A heartbeat can be seen around 6 weeks 2 days...but don't be surprised if you don't see it that early!

Try to stay calm.  It's funny I'm telling you that when I'm freaking out too.  We're almost 5 weeks. But really, stay calm!
