6weeks but on u/s only 5weeks..

i am first time here, My LMP was on 17sept 2011, my periods are queit regular  according to my calculation i should be 6 weeks but before 10days i had a visit to my gynec she did an abdominal scan and she told that there is a small sac but very small, and told me to repeat the scan after 10days..so yestday we wnt and had a vaginal scan, in that scan it is showing only a 5weeks 3days sac nothing else, so she told me to wait another 1week , as i had a miscarge few months ago i was very tensed..and this waiting is more tourchering me ... by God's grace there is no spotting till now.. is it normal ..please give me a good advise...

i got a similar story going on right now from my LMP i am supposed to be according to NHS pregnancy calendar about 7 weeks and few days. i had spotting so i was scared i am having a miscarriage so i went straight to ER and they booked me a scan. on friday 11.11.11 i had scan and found out i was only 4 wks and 5 days when i thought i was 6wks and 2 days. i know i ovulated on CD14. they were able to see gestational sac and yolk. then they did scan again after 10 days which was yesterday she saw a sac, yolk and possible baby of 5mm making me exactly 6weeks. if i count from CD14(the ovulation time) i conceived just right and it does make me 6 weeks only. i have been given another scan on thursday 1st december by that time i should be 7 weeks and 3 days and baby should be above 8mm. they can only see heartbeat if baby is above 8mm. my nurse said i ovulated on time and conceived between CD14 and CD17.
so i would say don't worry  everything should be fine. if you want to count and if you have 30 day cycle you must have ovulated just like me between CD14 and CD21 :)

hpe all of u r doing fine.. i'm also recovering from my past days.. doing fine i did my hcg tst 4 times all three days gap..it is falling down.. on my abortion day it was 1702 now it is 11.3 once more i have to go ..hpe it will be -ve.

I'm very sorry that things havent worked out for you this pregnancy, its hard but try to stay positive and I hope these next few days/weeks  are not to hard for you, keep us posted on how you are going

yestday was quiet a bad day for me...  had an abortion ...2-3 days back it self i saw some spotting ..but i thought it would be ok.. yestday morning statred bleeding with clots... tht time i started knowing tht it is going..went to hosp...they told tht it is a complete abotion..no need to do D&C.. but my in my left overy thereis a cict, so doc told to repeat the hcg blood tet till negetive as he suspects there is some ectopic pregnency... anyway..i'm trying to settle back with the facts... it is always painful .... but i'm sure my God will not put me in troubles no mre... this is the 2nd m/s for me this yr...

a lil advise for my friends...if u r planning to concieve first Pray Stronlgly to God for a blissful pregnancy and child birth... then always take folic acid before 1or 2 months before ur concption..always good for your child.. last but not the least... check your thyroid levels and hormone levels before u concieve...better luck for those who r carrying and for those who r trying to ...

Hang in there! I think sometimes these early scans do more harm than good, because they can freak us out. I'm only 3 days behind you and haven't had an ultrasound yet. :-)

Thank you all for ur support... today was my scanning was very scared but my God is doing SOMETHING GOOD FOR ME.. scanning shows there is a tiny life in my sa of 6 weeks... but the growth is lil slower..so my doctor told me to come after 1week...to hear the heart sound... hope and praying that thi should be a healthy pregnancy... waiting for another 1 week... but i'm having sometime the dischrge brownish ... prayng for all

My last period was sept 1 so I should be in my 8th weeks but the ultrasound show that I'm only in my 6th week. It happen, maybe your cycle was a little longer that month due to stress or other factor. Don't worry if there's no heavy spotting.
Try to relax and style positive.

are you spotting now? spotting can be relativley normal in early pregnancy and doesnt necessarily end in miscarriage, with the measurements you could have ovuulated a couple of days later, its only a couple of days short so I wouldnt worry on that front
